So um...the Lana arc?  Sucked (ok, I'll give you Bulletproof b/c it had Clark and Ollie and Clark going undercover as a cop which = Welling in a cop uniform which = WIN!).  BUT, turning Lana into Super!Lana! and then making her walking frickin' kryptonite?

REALLY?

And then, I see this clip for Infamous.  **Warning - Spoilers**

Yeah,  I'm that easy.

Is it Thursday yet?

Hmmm, a few tidbits.

Caught "Guys and Dolls" with [info]spaceyplum and just loved it!  The rendition of "Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat" was fantastic!  I loved Lauren Graham's take on Adelaide as well, a very different take but successful nonetheless, and Craig Bierko was just dreamy as Skye.

Happiness reigns as my Thursday night eye-candy is ensured for another season!  Smallville gets Season 9 and Supernatural for season 5!

I finished part 1 of my grad school project, hooray!

On the soap front, Florencia Lozano continues to kick all kinds of ass as Tea on OLTL.  I absolutely love her scenes with Blair, probably the most.  Flo and Kassie look like they are having a ball!

And this week on ATWT....I finally get some Paul and Emily scenes.  Which means the TIVO goes to CBS for a few days lol.  I'm that easy.

Valentine's Day?  Boo...lol....

Not going away at all, but I am psyched to see [info]spaceyplum and [info]buildingupsteam this week!  Also, lots of errands to run and grad school work to do.

So, is it March 12th yet?  Because this?

Is made of awesome.  I don't like Tori Spelling, but she is really good as evil gossip columnist Linda Lake.  And note to Ms. Lake - you don't mess with Lois Lane's man! :)  Also, Davis' confession?  Doomsday is coming!

1 down - 49 to go!

1. Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella

Cute, fun, easy read. A good kickoff! I really like the roommate Suze, she was amusing. I really wanted to read this before the movie comes out so I'm glad I finished it!

My vacation is almost over. WAAAHHHHHHH!

The only upside is that means my shows are coming back. Smallville and Supernatural are up on the 15th, and I believe Gossip Girl is this Monday!

And of course, Lost starts this month. FINALLY.

So, I really AM going to attempt to see more movies (and yes, read more books - I will get to that 50 one day!) this year, but admittedly I see them mostly on DVD's.

I finally checked out Ocean's Thirteen and I enjoyed it. I mean, the eye candy is awesome and it was far better than twelve, which sucked.

And now I'm sitting here weighing the option of getting a MacBook.  Which, I really can't afford BUT I could justify for grad school.

And because I've been watching this for the last two days, this hilariously awesome AD/Tobias tribute

Yes, I'm going to attempt to actually update! YAY!

First, saw Slumdog Millionaire with the girls and it was freakin' AWESOME! I won't give spoilers but run, don't walk to this movie.

Then, we headed to Spanky's for BBQ and that was absolutely delish.

And now, I'm OBSESSED with this song. When I first saw this MVid, I loved the MVid (natch lol) but seriously, this song is now on repeat on my IPod like big time.

It's been a long time since I've been so addicted to a 'ship that I actually seek out fan fic and read it for hours...

But I'm officially addicted to the Clois lol. Particularly Smallville's Clark Kent and Lois Lane.

And in some ways it's a frustrating 'ship b/c they aren't going to be together on Smallville, b/c Lois and Clark, while they DO end up together, don't end up together until AFTER he becomes Superman.

On the other hand, it's very interesting to watch a relationship you KNOW ends up with the two being the loves of each others lives, and watch them slowly start to realize it. Slowly being the key word.

And of course, the writers never hesitate to throw in the anvils. A perfect example being Chloe telling Clark (who's moping over the utterly boring Lana Lang, no offense to Kristin Kreuk who seems very cool and is stunning) that he never knows when the next love of his life will come around the corner...and enter Lois.

And yes, I've got the season 4, 5, and 6 DVD's and am clipping like crazy. One of my favorites from season 4....the shower :)

Now I'm venturing into the Teri Hatcher / Dean Cain version (never watched that show, as much as I've always been a fan of the Clois 'ship through the movies b/c Teri Hatcher bugs lol)...we'll see how that goes!

I am the kiss of death to couples lol....once I start liking them? It's a sure bet that they will go kerplooey at some point. I mean, OLTL's Todd/Tea, ATWT's Paul/Emily and Craig/Rosanna, AW's Jake and Paulina...my couples karma sucks.

But you know, I think I've found one even I can't screw up LOL! B/C even with all my bad couple karma? Clark Kent and Lois Lane seem like a pretty safe bet. I've gotten SO into "Smallville" and I absolutely love Tom Welling and Erica Durance as Lois and Clark. Sure, they'll never actually BE together on the show b/c the whole idea of "Smallville" is it's his pre-Superman days...but it's kinda fun watching the 'start of it all' - as imagined by these writers anyway. And thanks to all the sci fi / meteor rock action, there does tend to be some alternate reality payoff so to speak lol...

One of my new favorite clips...Clark and Lois' first kiss. Lois, at the time, is dating Oliver aka The Green Arrow, and she suspects his 'super' abilities and sets up a trap so he can save her. Oliver gets Clark to pose as him in full Green Arrow costume, with him showing up at the same time to throw Lois off. The plan goes awry when real thugs attack Lois and sidekick Jimmy Olsen, but Clark shows up in time, in disguise and saves her and she thanks him with a kiss.

Only she realizes, it isn't Oliver she's kissing, which is cemented when Oliver shows up next to her.

The smile on Clark's face after? ::melt::

Thank God it's Saturday!

It was a long, long week. I'm wiped!

And I still haven't caught up on all my shows yet. I did watch the season finale of My Name is Earl, which was okay. I'm saving The Office for tomorrow when I can fully sit and relax :) And I still have Lost to watch as well!

In daytime news, OLTL is really wanting me to tune in again lol...but as much as I absolutely LOVE Christopher Cousins as Cain Rogan? There is still the wrong Todd wandering around Llanview. YouTube rocks lol...I have a feeling that's where I'll be catching Cain's return! I'll be VERY interested to see him with AE's Tina and I'm hoping for some Cain and David Vickers as well.

Speaking of YouTube...since ATWT is disappointing me lately lol...I had to make my own happy place...

I did a LOT of reading over vacation!

8. Women and Money by Suze Orman

Okay this was before vacation (not exactly beach reading lol), just my way to try and find new and inventive ways to save money.

9. Ten Big Ones by Janet Evanovich

Stephanie Plum strikes again and I loved every minute!

10. Dating is Murder by Harley Jane Kozak

Big thanks to [info]spaceyplum for this one, LOVED it and have ordered more of her books!

11. Visions of Sugar Plums by Janet Evanovich

Another Stephanie Plum one, another one I loved.

My progress...

11 / 50 books. 22% done!

Rocked.

I'm still sort of recovering but it was absolutely gorgeous and beautiful and relaxing and I want to go back. Now.

You know what else rocked this week? Lost. Even though I hate Jate with the fire of a thousand suns, Sawyer saved it. I may be officially shipping Sawyer and Claire and seeing Sawyer with Aaron? ::thud::

I have to do a book update b/c I read like crazy while sitting on the beach with my margarita, hopefully sometime this week!

First of all, let me be the proud sis - a review of my brother's band's new CD!

Very cool review!

And I leave in less than 48 hours for my vacation! EEEEE!!

Until I leave for Mexico!

EEEEEEE!

"The Office" was back this week and oh how I've missed this show. I literally laughed out loud almost the entire episode. Sheer brilliance of having a dinner party featuring Jim/Pam, Michael/Jan, Andy/Angela, and of course party crasher Dwight. They didn't miss a beat on the return!

Went to Cheesecake Factory last night to celebrate a friend's birthday and the Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps? To die for :)

Thanks to [info]spaceyplum, I read Then We Came To The End by Joshua Ferris and I adored it. It was both touching and hilarious, and I swear I know people like some of those characters. I also really enjoyed his writing style!

So...book 7 if we're counting and all...

7 / 50 books. 14% done!

I seem to get into TV shows seasons after they come out. First it was "Veronica Mars" (and thanks to [info]spaceyplum and my brother, I'm now the proud owner of all 3 seasons lol), and now, it's "Smallville".

I'm just getting through season 1 on Netflix and I adore it. I had started watching it when it first came on but then it interfered with something else so that was not to be. Tom Welling is adorable and I absolutely LOVE Lex Luthor (natch, always the bad guys! LOL!). And boy John Schneider, who plays Jonathan Kent, sure did age well. I've always loved the Superman franchise, so I'm loving this show!

I'm still trying to catch "Miss Guided", but the time slot is terrible for me, but I love Judy Greer so I'm hoping to catch it!

I'm going to Mexico in April!

My friend and I booked our trip on Tuesday. Of course, I spent a ridiculous amount of money on the flight alone, but it will be worth it.

This is where we're staying :)

This is like my first vacation in eons so I'm looking forward to it!

On a web related note, I spent last Saturday fooling around with my Paul/Emily site ....it's a Simple Machines forum, which requires a lot of PHP knowledge to modify, though it's easy to install. But I finally managed to understand enough to get a new skin and add my own banner :)

So, in my quest to actually complete the 50 book challenge this year, I bring you my 6th entry...

Third Degree by Greg Iles

I loved this book. The author did a great job b/c even though I had a sinking feeling the whole time, b/c there was really only 1 way it could end, the ride to the end was fantastic, and you ended up having sympathy for all involved, because they all had some self awareness.

On another note, I'm having one of those 'bottomless pit' days where I could eat anything anyone puts in front of me.

Oh, and flight prices? Suck. Unless I want to sit in a Houston airport for 19 hours on a Sunday before heading back to work on Monday.
