Hmmm, a few tidbits.

Caught "Guys and Dolls" with [info]spaceyplum and just loved it!  The rendition of "Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat" was fantastic!  I loved Lauren Graham's take on Adelaide as well, a very different take but successful nonetheless, and Craig Bierko was just dreamy as Skye.

Happiness reigns as my Thursday night eye-candy is ensured for another season!  Smallville gets Season 9 and Supernatural for season 5!

I finished part 1 of my grad school project, hooray!

On the soap front, Florencia Lozano continues to kick all kinds of ass as Tea on OLTL.  I absolutely love her scenes with Blair, probably the most.  Flo and Kassie look like they are having a ball!

And this week on ATWT....I finally get some Paul and Emily scenes.  Which means the TIVO goes to CBS for a few days lol.  I'm that easy.

Thank God it's Saturday!

It was a long, long week. I'm wiped!

And I still haven't caught up on all my shows yet. I did watch the season finale of My Name is Earl, which was okay. I'm saving The Office for tomorrow when I can fully sit and relax :) And I still have Lost to watch as well!

In daytime news, OLTL is really wanting me to tune in again lol...but as much as I absolutely LOVE Christopher Cousins as Cain Rogan? There is still the wrong Todd wandering around Llanview. YouTube rocks lol...I have a feeling that's where I'll be catching Cain's return! I'll be VERY interested to see him with AE's Tina and I'm hoping for some Cain and David Vickers as well.

Speaking of YouTube...since ATWT is disappointing me lately lol...I had to make my own happy place...

So the 50 Movie Challenge continues. Tonight I watched "The Queen", and I am Helen Mirren's bitch. 'Nuff said.

:)

50 Movie Challenge
1. Little Miss Sunshine
2. Stranger than Fiction
3. American Dreamz
4. The Queen

And now onto...

LOST!!!!! OMG the eye candy that is Josh Holloway continues to be breathtaking. And how sweet was Sawyer with Hurley?

But WHO are the Oceanic 6? And let me tell you, my Sawyer better be one of them!

I tuned back into ATWT this week b/c EEEEEEE! My Paul and Em are FINALLY sharing scenes again. A particularly snarky exchange from yesterday.

Paul: Maybe it was a crime of passion, like, you know, shooting a guy in the back and rolling him off a cliff.

Emily: Next time? I'll find a higher cliff.

Hee!

Sarah Brown returned to GH yesterday as well, and she was very intriguing as mob princess Claudia Zacchara! And now I'm off to watch AMC and the return of Jessie and Angie!

It's Friday! YAY!

So far the Mets are winning tonight, double YAY! I'm Endy Chavez' slave for life if that homer holds up!

It's going to be a crappy weekend weather wise, so I'm content to sit around, watch movies, and maybe if the spirit moves me, clean a little.

Some art - a new tag :) I'm kinda into the tags lately! My Paul and Em from ATWT.

I'm actually going to attempt to be much better at this LOL!

So, to start, let me rant about As The World Turns this past week. Just so I'm clear, is Paul an idiot? Because they are writing him like one.

So Paul has a plan to gaslight Craig into thinking comatose Rosanna is awake and can pin the crime of running her off the road and trying to kill her on him, thus sending him back to jail. Ostensibly, he'll be so scared that he'll willingly give Worldwide back to Lucinda. And to do this, Paul is using the newly returned Alison Stewart, who, with the recast, suddenly sounds like Rosanna (forget that Paul has known her practically all her life and she's tecnically his ex-wife Emily's daughter lol, details!).

Fine. Not a great plan but they never write Paul having a 'great' plan so that's unsurprising. And, so far, the plan had been going fairly well. There's just one little wrinkle. Alison is addicted to crystal meth, unbeknownst to Paul.

Emily, of course, wants to know why Paul and Ali are hanging out together. Paul vaguely tells her he's using Ali for a project she's working on. Emily warns Paul that Ali's unreliable, but he swears he can keep an eye on her.

Then Dusty comes out and tells Paul Ali is a meth addict. Then? Paul practically walks in on Ali snorting her 'candy', and she's so obviously high it's painful, and yet still has her make her phone call to Craig?

The writers couldn't have made Paul look more like an idiot. After two warnings and the fact that Ali was practically wearing a sign that said "I'm HIGH!", Paul has her make the call to Craig, which of course, she screws up because, well, she's HIGH.

I truly don't get it. Paul is the son of James Stenbeck and Barbara Ryan. WHY are they writing him as incompetent?

But on a plus note, my Paul and Emily finally had scenes this week! Scenes in which Emily uttered the most awesome line in the most awesome way. Observe:

Much thanks and love to [info]spaceyplum for the presents! I'm so going to spend the next week watching WKRP!
