I'm actually going to attempt to be much better at this LOL!
So, to start, let me rant about
As The World Turns this past week. Just so I'm clear, is Paul an idiot? Because they are writing him like one.
So Paul has a plan to gaslight Craig into thinking comatose Rosanna is awake and can pin the crime of running her off the road and trying to kill her on him, thus sending him back to jail. Ostensibly, he'll be so scared that he'll willingly give Worldwide back to Lucinda. And to do this, Paul is using the newly returned Alison Stewart, who, with the recast, suddenly sounds like Rosanna (forget that Paul has known her practically all her life and she's tecnically his ex-wife Emily's daughter lol, details!).
Fine. Not a great plan but they never write Paul having a 'great' plan so that's unsurprising. And, so far, the plan had been going fairly well. There's just one little wrinkle. Alison is addicted to crystal meth, unbeknownst to Paul.
Emily, of course, wants to know why Paul and Ali are hanging out together. Paul vaguely tells her he's using Ali for a project she's working on. Emily warns Paul that Ali's unreliable, but he swears he can keep an eye on her.
Then Dusty comes out and tells Paul Ali is a meth addict. Then? Paul practically walks in on Ali snorting her 'candy', and she's so obviously high it's painful, and yet still has her make her phone call to Craig?
The writers couldn't have made Paul look more like an idiot. After two warnings and the fact that Ali was practically wearing a sign that said "I'm HIGH!", Paul has her make the call to Craig, which of course, she screws up because, well, she's HIGH.
I truly don't get it. Paul is the son of James Stenbeck and Barbara Ryan. WHY are they writing him as incompetent?
But on a plus note, my Paul and Emily finally had scenes this week! Scenes in which Emily uttered the most awesome line in the most awesome way. Observe:

Much thanks and love to
